The Rise: Chelsea's home win against Newcastle United would not only ease the mounting pressure on the Blues' boss Mauricio Pochettino but would further signify the fact that there is potential in the team that the Argentine manager is putting out on the pitch. The star of the season so far for the Blues, Cole Palmer restored the Londoner's lead back in the 57th minute followed up by Mykhailo Mudryk's 76th-minute goal sealing an engrossing 3-2 Premier League win for Pochettino's side despite Jacob Murphy's 90th-minute consolation goal for Newcastle United.

The Path Ahead: After the win over Newcastle United Chelsea currently stands at the 11th spot in this season's Premier League table. The victory helped them close the gap to just 1 point from their opponent Newcastle United sitting 10th with 40 points. However, the Blues must keep the momentum gained against the toons in their upcoming matches of the campaign. Mauricio Pochettino's team will need to get on a winning run sooner or later if they want to pursue those European spots.
