The captivating matter: Dutch manager Erik ten Hag has never looked settled in his managerial role at Premier League-bound Manchester United. A series of ups and downs has directed a broad spectrum of criticism towards his capability to lead the Red Devils at the biggest stage of club football. The recent loss against Fulham at Old-Trafford in the league only made matters worse for him.

The move forward: As per the reports Manchester United has received several approaches from the representatives/agents of managers interested in taking charge of the club. These approaches could be made on the back of feelings residing in the football hierarchy that Erik ten Hag might no longer remain in charge of United when the next Premier League season starts.

The lingering decision: With the Red Devils still chasing the Champions League spots this season, the owners might be reluctant to cause any sort of turbulent changes that might shift the club's focus from the on-field performances. Having said that Erik ten Hag would need to do something special in the remaining matches of the season, to give himself a slight chance of keeping his managerial spot at the club.
